Google Map pins:
📌 Gilbraltar Point
📌 Ferry meetup location for those taking the ferry, Pier 6 (max: 70 person capacity)
I don’t know where the bathroom is, where to get water etc. I have X request.
There will be staff to assist you the day of the event. We’ll have a map in front of the venue with signs pointing to the bathroom and various other key points at Gilbratrar Point. High chairs are also available by request.
Is there anything I have to be aware of?
If the weather is good, most likely we will be celebrating outside. Note there might be creepy crawlers crawling on the ground. We will have an Essential items Basket in the Wedding Suite including mosquito repellant, and a first-aid kit. In case you want to bring your own though - that’s up to you.
There is a beach nearby - if you wish to go, we recommend you bring sandals.
Weather will be hot during summer. But might be cold after sundown.
We will be giving our guests wedding favors - don’t forget to pick them up before the end of event.
Where do I store my things?
Note there will be no lockers. So be mindful, and try to keep your belongings within your possession. We will try to see if we can make alternative arrangements.
What if I need to refresh or take a nap?
We have the wedding suite (with private bathroom) for that. You can also take a nap there if need be.
I’m afraid I can’t do X at event.
That ok, let us know if you have allergies or food allergies, or if you’re sensitive to anything (e.g sound, light etc, and let us know.)
We will be purchasing solar lamps, so people can safely walk on the path at night.
⛴️ Getting to the Venue
What if I want to/from the venue on my own?
There is a ferry terminal 30 minute walk (Hanlan’s Point) from the venue. Here’s the ferry schedule.
For those who want to make their own arrangements. We recommend Hanlan’s Point Tiki Taxi, and you call them in advance to make your own arrangements. The Water taxi can meet you directly at the Gilbratrar Point Ferry dock.
Where do I find parking?
We recommend not to drive. The event takes place around Caribana Weekend which is crowded in Toronto. There’s going to be a lot of traffic.
Take the GO train to Union Station, then TTC (Streetcar) 509 to Harbourfront Centre.
🤵♂️👗 Fashion
What should I wear?
Wear whatever you feel comfortable with. Dress Festive.
Ladies 👩 (or those who identify as female) - Just warning you to wear comfortable shoes 👠, you’ll be stepping on grass, and soft soil.
Note: this event will take place in the heat of summer.🥵 Dress accordingly for the weather. (Note: this event will also take place at night.)
There is a beach 🏖️ nearby, for those who want to go - dress comfortable! It’s also recommended to bring an extra pair of sandals if you wish to. 🩴
🏡 Accomodation/Fashion
I’m coming from outside Toronto, I need housing assistance.
Your best bet in Toronto (most affordable)is the Chestnut residence in Toronto. https://stayatuoft.com. That in 2024 is 170-200 to 300CAD/night. 2025 rates have yet to be disclosed. The thing is you can only book this in the spring, and that is last minute for some of you. Note it might be difficult to find accommodation as it’s the Long Weekend in Canada and it’s also Caribana weekend, so be mindful of that.
